I lived here for 6 months beginning in January 2004. My first impression was that it was quiet and nice, but again this was only a first impression. Upon moving in, I discovered that the garbage disposal was broken: a surprise to say the least. This was fixed promplty soit wasn't a major concern. The main problem in the apartment was the noise. I could hear every step taken by the neighbor above (hint: take a 2nd story apt.) as well as water running and dogs barking. This became very very annoying. The parking right outside was convenient, but not when I woke up at 5 am because someone had to warmup their loud jeep for 5 min. The pounding engine noise seeped right through my window and it became unbearable at times. As mentioned there are numerous dogs, and nobody cleans up after them. Watch your step! Trash would often overflow the bins spilling onto the street. The views were nice (can't beat pikes peak in the morning but not at 5am though) and there were no major problems with management. The hot tub was broken then eventually closed for the season which was dissapointing considering the best time to use a hot tub is in the cold Colorado winter. I think the management was lazy and didn't care about fixing the problem. In the spring, I had a bug infestation and they were everywhere (on cars, in apts., etc.) I have read comments concerning construction but I did not witness this directly. I could see the major noise problems emerging though.
Overall this is a decent place. Its not great and has some glaring flaws but if you need a place to live, this will do.
