Nice apartments, lousy customer support

I really like the complex: the landscaping and the overall layout are very attractive and get away from the typical monolithic design of most complexes. That said, I have had persistent issues while I've lived here.
In winter the pipes frequently break. My room has been flooded three times and one of the times they refused to put me up in a hotel for the night due to a miscommunication over their policy with their head office.
When I moved in, it took me four months before the DirectTV was hooked up and I wasn't able to get a clear status in spite of daily calls nor would they allow me to simply get Comcast (they refuse to allow cable companies on the complex) which leads to my biggest complaint:
They advertise a complex wi-fi service. This is true; however, they neglect to note that they forbid you from seeking any other broadband options. The wi-fi service, V-Link, stinks on ice. It's frequently down, the customer support is non-existent and the bandwidth is often hovering just above dial-up speeds. I've repeatedly requested permission to switch to a cable modem but, again, they refuse to allow cable companies on the complex.
Although the staff is usually polite their ability to address problems and issues seems to be minimal. I can not recommend them.
