The property manager is nothing short of a moron. We receive hand-written sticky notes with amounts on them that "we owe" with no explanation as to where the charges are coming from. Every month the amounts change, and the property manager doesn't seem to understand her own handwriting or her own charges. The front office is nice, but not at all helpful, and the lack of intelligence is comical. Trying to understand the front office gal is like trying to communicate with a brick wall. I'm not sure how she was trusted to run such a large property. Personally, I would have hired someone with slightly more brains than an animal cracker. Utility costs are out of control. The windows leak and the community doors are always being propped open. You are billed by Colorado Springs Utilities and also by Cheyenne Creek. The apartments they show you ARE NOT the ones you will receive. They show granite countertops and new appliances. We have blue, stained countertops and old, dented appliances. The neighbors are loud. It sounds like they are moving furniture all night long. We can hear every toilet flush and every shower anyone takes. The toilet in the guest bathroom clogs up for no reason, and the shower drain in that bathroom also backs up constantly. We have found the maintenance guy on our porch in our utility closet on more than one occasion. No, he isn't in the apartment, but walking by your own back porch to find a man standing in your closet is somewhat disturbing. Some sort of warning would be nice, although he and his wife, the housekeeper, speak very little english, but still seem to be the only employees with any brains. Those two would be a thousand times more capable of running the complex than the current manager. I wouldn't recommend this complex to anyone. I wish we would have had time to do more research before moving into this community. As soon as we can get out of this place we will. We were completely ripped off. If you are thinking about moving into this "resort-style" community, think twice.
