These apartments are very nice to look at. Once you move in though you find that the design of the apartment amplifies noise from one apartment to the next. Laying in my bed at night I could hear the TV from the apartment below me. I could also hear people walking up and down the stairs. Overall the noise lever from tenants and their children & the loud music is very annoying.
I have children so I cannot begin to tell you how I felt hearing gunshots from down the street on a monthly basis. Not to mention being woken up in the middle of the night by a gang fights outside my bedroom window. The police were very quick to respond with helicopters that were very good at breaking up the fight but by the time the police cars arrived there was no one in sight to arrest so this happens often. Police do not go to this area of town alone. There is a curtsey patrol but they do not bother to respond half the time. And when they do its usually an hour or so later. The apartments are well maintained but very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The maintenance is good and the apartments are kept up pretty good despite all the vandalism done by the tenants.
Over all I could not wait for my 1 year lease to be up so I could move my family to a safer part of town.
