Changing Management - Poor Maintenance of Old Buildings at New Building Prices

From: -Anonymous-

Though the location of the property is very good, the buildings are aging. The community is very quiet and large grass areas add to the community feel. Parking is covered, so hail damage and vast snow removal is never an issue. Pets are welcome and the properties space seems to accommodate the dog and cat owners very well. This is really where the benefits stop.

Within a 2 - 3 year time frame management has changed 3 times. Original two sets of managers were very good. The maintenance staff was very good and the community as a whole was a great place to live and socialize. The latest set of maintenance and management did not follow suit.

Repairs and replacement of outdated and broken items within units were greatly delayed or never followed-up. Larger dogs were allowed and the pet policies not enforced causing very large dogs to run free though the limit on paper remained 1 small dog, or 2 cats.

Poor management of records resulted in complications during closure of the lease. Great amount of professionalism and sound business conduct were lacking during scheduling of walkthrough and change of billing for utilities. Many refunds were provided by all utilities in that paperwork from Quail Run was not sent on time, etc.

In all honesty, the edge Quail Run use to have in attracting professionals, new families and retired members, has slipped. The personal service and positive contact with the management has dramatically decreased. There are much worse properties in the Springs, but there are much better ones as well. Look into some of the newer properties, as they do not have to cover replacement expenses nearly as much as an older property.
