Retreat at Cheyenne Mountain

Not bad, but . . .

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
Despite what the reviewer from 2/6 wrote, the pool is *not* open year round. It is seasonal. And no, not all owners clean up after their dogs. There is a lot of dog waste on the property. I see people not cleaning up after their dogs, every day. But, I must say that it is better now than it was before.
I've lived here for 1.5 years and it's certainly not the worst (or else I would've moved). My only primary complaint is that my apartment is very drafty with huge gaps in the front door and patio door that I've had to stuff with towels in order to keep the dust, cold air, and bugs out.
I will agree that the newer management is much better, more professional, which has made a big difference. The community has security gates, which the new mgt *wasn't* going to have fixed, but they must've gotten enough complaints (I was one of them) that they decided to fix them. Thank you.
Great views. Nice location near the mountains.
