My husband and I have been living here for 2 years and are currently moving elsewhere! Our experiance has been awful!!! When we first moved here, they were managed by Omni. Omni did an amazing job! But then 4 months later, Greystar took over, it was all down hill from there! The staff were rude, cruel, and inconsiderate. Because of not shovling the sidewalk, I slipped on ice and tore cartldge in my knee, the apartment responded with saying it was my fault and there was nothing they could do even though I missed a week of work due to the injury.
The maintence is a joke!! Had problems with hot water coming out of cold water faucet and cold coming out of hot, they proceeded to tell us we must have just turned on the wrong one! (Like we are stupid) And then we called in a broken ice maker 6 months ago, no response.
Expect to pay at least $40-$50 for water. The summer months they OVERWATER and the whole place looks like a swamp, and they charge the residents for it!! And because of poor insulation, we always have our heat cranked! And our utility bill suffers!!
Was reading on here that someone broke into the office and stole all the keys to the apartment and they were forced to change locks! News to us!! They never informed the residents of that! They only sent out a notice saying they were coming to change locks!! Glad there is communication!!!! Oh, and security gates that are supposed to keep people out are ALWAYS BROKE AND WIDE OPEN!!!
To top it all off, we recieved a letter in our mailbox stating that they decided not to renew our lease because of excessive noise complaints!!! Seriously!! We had 2 noise complaints the entire 2 years we lived here!! And when both complaints came to us, I called the office and explained that I had night terrors! Laurie, the assistant understood! It was Sandra, the head of the office (the one who said it was my fault I fell on the ice) who told us basically to leave! I wouldn't live here even if they paid me!!!
BEWARE!!! HIGH RENTS, RUDE STAFF, HORRIBLE MAINTENECE AND BAD SECURITY!!!!

Why do you say such horrible things about the Retreat. I have been here over 4 years and am very happy. They did send out a notice about the break in to the office, immediately after. The gates are being fixed this week. Omni wasn't that great!!!!! My water has never been over $26.00 and the maintenance has always been curtious and repairs fast. You must be thinking of another place.

I can't believe they would not renew your lease. I lived below some stupid lady and her snot nosed brat. They would stop on the floor, dry boots in their dryer (clank, clank, clank), play loud music and the management didn't care. There was also a trampy lady in the same area (I think she was a stripper) she and her many, many male escorts (along with her trampy mother) would always block my driveway seemingly everyday. Again, management didn't care as long as a hooker prostitue can pay the rent, they don't care (Even though they act as if the complex was exclusive and full of "professionals".
I hated this complex. I think the people that do like it are probably the one's that infringe on the rights of others (ie, the park wherever to you to, animal poo leavers, put ot trash on the curb when you feel like it people)
