The Retreat isn't the worst place to live in the Springs however, for the amount of money per month spent on rent you could definately find nicer complexes somewhere else in the Springs. After living here over a year now I find more and more things wrong with my apartment. Things are cheaply done and made. Being a woman, safety is definately and issue. I feel very unsafe walking to and from my car at night because there is no street lighting! I carry a knife at all times. The gates don't normally work. They just fixed them not too long ago and people wait for you to come in and sneak in behind you before the gates close. I really wish they would hire a person to let people in and out. Noise is a huge problem. Although it is an apartment and you can hear your neighbors occasionally, I hear them constantly doing whatever they do and there is no privacy. I have a dog and it is very frustrating that I step in other peoples dog poo. I clean up after my dog and i'll be really upset if they raise pet rent or whatever because other people are irresponsible. Never had a problem with maintenance. Whenever I have called they have come that day and fixed it right. Very impressed. I wouldn't renew my lease though. I'd rather save a few dollars and live somewhere nicer.

I can't believe they would not renew your lease! I lived below some stupid lady and her snot nosed brat. They would stmop on the floor, dry boots in their dryer (clank, clank, clank)it rattled to the point where it shook things on my wall, play loud music and the management didn't care. There was also a shanky-trampy lady in the same area (I think she was a stripper) she and her many, many male escorts (along with her trampy mother) would always block my driveway seemingly everyday. Again, management didn't care as long as the hooker prostitue can pay the rent, they don't care (Even though they act as if the complex was exclusive and full of "professionals".) I hate this complex. The residents blow, the management and their lack of actions blows even more! While taking a walk, I EVEN SAW A MAN DUMPING A DIRTY KITTY LITTER BOX OUT ON A COMMON GRASSY AREA - those people should have been evicted on the spot!!! Stupid,Lazy, inconsiderate people. I think the people that DO like it here are probably the one's that infringe on the rights of others (ie, the park wherever to you to, animal poo dumpers/leavers, put ot trash on the curb when you feel like it people) A dreadful place - you are wayyyy better off that they DIDN't Renew your lease. You can definately find better places in the same general area

The first post here states that the person writing the review will not be renewing their lease, NOT that the apartment community would not allow her to renew her lease.
