I was able to leave a couple months ago because of PCS orders. The girls in the office were always cool. I never had a problem with them and they always helped me out whenever I called. For awhile I called frequently because I had a horrible neighbor who partied constantly several times a week and banged on my bedroom wall. I often could hear them puking and fighting. I got to know some of the Colo. Spgs. policemen who came when I called with noise complaints. My apartment was broken into over 4th of July when I was out of town. Thank god I had an alarm installed because ADT called right when my front door was opened. Totally worth the $35/month. The police responded and concluded that somebody had a key. I NEVER gave a key out. Staff were the only ones who had keys. I noticed a lot of different maintenance guys come and go which made me nervous considering I was home alone a lot with my husband gone. Other than that, I just had normal apartment problems.. some cheap construction and annoying neighbors. I had a dog and picked his poop up every time. A lot of residents let their dogs run off leash and obviously did not pick up the crap because I had stepped in it numerous times.. I was just waiting to get blamed for it too! I had a problem with lighting near my building. I never went outside at night without my dog. One night I came outside my building and 2 guys were hanging out behind a car. I didn't see them but my dog did and alerted me. I don't know what they were doing but they ran off. My think my rent was pretty high for what I received but probably just right for the neighborhood. If I came back to Ft. Carson I would find a house to rent. I don't really feel safe in apartments anymore after the break-in. I don't like how anyone can have access to your home whenever they want. It's just too hard in an apt with a big active dog. Luckily there was a fully fenced-in field across the street at the highschool for my dog to run around. Parking was a nightmare. I had to park 5 buildings down a couple times because neighbors had big parties. I knew a few other couples who lived there who didn't have any huge issues. They also lived on the top floors so i'm sure it was quiet most of the time. I think this place is mediocre but they can definately make some safety improvements. There are a lot of random people who live at apartments and either you get stuck with awesome neighbors or trashy neighbors.
