When I moved in I was exspecting more for the amount of money. Upon my arrival I had problems with the hot water. It took over two months for them to resolve the problem of the hot water. Maintenance did not do a good job of following up and ensuring the problem was fixed. I got the overall impression that I was being difficult, when all I wanted was hot water. I felt since I was inconvenienced for over two months, I should of have been compensated ie, discount off my rent, but that did not happen. I lived in many apartments over the years and never had all the problems I had here. The quality of craftmans ship is very poor. Things are really run down and I make a work order on the average of once a month, this is very annoying especially if you have a busy schedule. I do not know who they hired to construct these apartment, but it looks like a child calked my kitchen and layed the flooring in the kitchen. I was told that a construction company from Texas built these apartments and they built the hot water heaters on the exterior of the apartments, so in the winter you have problems with hot water. I wish they would of disclosed that to me upon signing my lease, I would of thought twice. When they show you the model it seems nice, but when you have time and live here you notice all the inperfections of the apartment and wonder why they paid the builders. Now that I had a chance to settle in I notice all the poor quality of work done I am sorry I selected Retreat at Cheyenne Mountain. I was going off the advertising, so good job to the advertising comittee for making this place look more than it is. Parking is a problem because unless you pay for a garage or covered parking there is limited parking and I end up parking where ever there is a free space. The garage parking is an extra $100.00 and the covered parking is too far from my apartment for me to even think about paying for it. The grounds are full of feces from all the dogs that live here. For the amount of money you pay you should have better renovated apartments, the appliances are dated and parking garages should be included. I looked on the internet and you will find they have many apartments available, so they are not keeping tenants. When my lease is up I am going to find another apartment complex to live in. If any one from Corporate level is reading, this is the ideal place to put an apartment complex with the beautiful view, close to schools and Fort Carson, but unless you make some improvements, the turn over rate of tenants will be high. Retreat is located in such a nice area, all this place needs is a face lift, better customer service, maintence team that will follow up and ensure the work order is fixed and then it will be worth the money we pay. I come across many people looking for a place to live and I will make sure to warn them of this place.

Very true. These are plenty of other apartments nearby. Don't get hooked into a lease here. I fully agree about the dog feeces EVERYWHERE. Also, if if you do pay for a garage, MANY time you will be blocked inside your garage or someone will have parked IN FRONT of your garage so you are unable to access your garage when you complain to management you can't get in or out of your garage they pretty much say "What do you want me to do?" Um I want you to get in your golf cart and cover that car with no parking stickers and for repeat offender you need to EVICT the people that keep doing it after all you are paying for the garage not the inconsiderate people that park in front of other peoples garages. Also people park their motor cycles in the common entry breeze way and they do nothing baout it
