Nice apartments but property management sucks

What to look out for should you ever move here:

-Request NOT to live on the east side of the complex. Believe me, I have complained a dozen times about it. The last line they used on me: "We're just waiting for corporate to approve assigned parking spaces. It will be soon!"
Um, still waiting to see that happen. FYI- Parking still sucks.
Better yet, there's another car in one of the spaces that hasn't moved in 2 months. This isn't the first time this has happened either. I call to (nicely!) inquire if it's a residents and the line I got: "I can check to see if we have it registered with a tenant, but that will take a while because there are a lot of registrants."
(Um, okay isn't this part of your job' Do you really just sit on your ass and pretend to look busy in the leasing office''')

You better know how to fix basic fixtures because if you want maintenence to do it, you'll wait weeks. When I first moved in, my bathroom sink was leaking underneath the cabinet and they took 3 weeks to make an appearance. The best thing about this: they don't fix things 100%.
Over the summer, I would watch the maintence team sitting in their truck talking and smoking.... obviously issues with your apartment are not their first priority.

I had an accent wall painted after living here a year. Would you believe that NEW tenants have priority to get their walls done first' I'm sorry, obviously the 600 something dollars I spend on rent that I've been paying on time for the last year gives me no priority. I waited 4 months. Eventually, I made a visit to the leasing girl and informed her that I'd like my wall painted BEFORE my lease is up. They had someone out 2 weeks later. (And on a nice note, the man that painted my apartment was brand new to the job and very thorough).

Overall the apartments are great. Good views. Nice appliances. Just watch what side of the complex you're on and keep your fingers crossed nothing breaks.
