We get a notice on our door today saying we didn't pay of all our rent. While we did in fact write 2 checks and put them in the same envelope, they claim we didn't. Will not waive the late fee AS WELL as drop our rent discount for the month, we are getting screwed out of $200 all because some lady in the office was too lazy to check the envelope. Why would people pay half their rent when they have had excellent rent history....Pardon my language, but this place is BS. I understand that there is no way to prove or disprove this, but a benefit of the doubt would be nice since we have the carbon copy of the check and I saw it in the envelope that the "only" check that they "received" was in. Do not rent from here because management will do anything to make a buck.

Im going on my 5th year here and I call this place my home.. I was late on my rent once and I understand they have to treat everyone the same.. maybe you shouldve read the lease before signing it.. it clearly states what the late charges are.. yea theres no way you can prove that you wrote another check... so I dont know what you would expect.. I call Spring Canyon my home and if you are so unhappy then move out.. its hilarious what people do and say when things dont go there way... you are entitled to your opinion but I really dont think that them "trying to make a buck" would change the financial status from your $200.00. You are probably the least of there worries!! I have been here way to long for new residents to even have an opinion on the place I call home!!

Thanks for your opinion, but we were not late on our rent, we paid with 2 checks and one was misplaced and not by us. I read the lease upon move-in, but that doesn't change how the situation was handled and the fact that they were very rude and we are in no way confrontational people so it was unwarranted. I was aware of late fees. I think you are missing my point, and I'm not entirely sure why you wrote a response as if you care about my opinion. Furthermore, it would only make sense that you probably work here to have even responded. I would LOVE to move out but I have to finish my lease out and I will upgrade and buy a house.
I have had a few problems everywhere I have lived and some have gone my way and some have not, but all have been resolved in some sort of amicable way.
By the way, in response to your comment, it is "their" not "there." Improper spelling drives me crazy.

I agree with you completely. I no longer live there, but my husband and I hated every moment of it. The office staff needs a total attitude adjustment, all they care about is making money. I would not recommend Spring Canyon to ANYONE!

I've lived here for over two years. When I moved in, the management was nice and the place was considered one of the best in town. Over the time here, management changed, and the current office manager is a complete -----. She is extremly two faced, rude, and very difficult to work with. I can't wait for my lease to be up soon to get out. I have had problems with the neighbor on the third floor constiantly throwing cigarette butts down, and nothing is ever done about it. It burned holes in my padio furnature and everyone who visits says "I didn't know you smoked!" I hate smoke, so why would I? Most recently there has been a group of people who moved in that is constantly drunk at the pool.....and by drunk I mean a case of beer per person. Nothing is done, because one of them works in the office that takes part in it. They won't treat you with any respect, even if you pay on time every month. Because someone stole the TV out of the Gym, it went to lock down which was suppose to be only a few weeks, it's now going on 7 months. In addition, the free weights were taken, but remarkably repalced by the same looking set. I think the ex-supervisor of maitenence stole them and sold them back for profit. No one else had keys or the ability to walk off with 400lbs of free weights and stands without raising suspicion. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
