Viewing this complex at first sight you would be delighted with the panoramic view of the mountains and overall location, the grounds are kept up well(except for a recent repulsive decision to eliminate manys of the trees on sight). Upon deeper review your conception would disapte quickly. My girlfriend and I lived at Falcon Pointe from August, 2001 until June of 2007. The first 5 1/2 years where a relativly pleasent experiance. My girlfiend and I were decent residents that kept to ourself, always paid our rent, and kept in good contact with the office staff. The issues began when the new management team took over. One afternoon I went down to the gym to workout around 6:00pm, as I had done religously for the past six months. The door had been locked, so I went to the office to find out why. The manager was busy at the moment, so I spoke with the maintenace supervisor. He rudely informed me at the time that the office had made the decision to lock down the gym after business hours, due to recent issues with vandalism. I then called the manager, informing her of the unfair decision, that would allow "certain" residents access to the facilities during the day, and how those that work during the day would not have the same privlidges. She quickly made the decision to unlock the gym door. To examplify another instance, I recently had the breaks go out on my vehical, I began working on the car on a Sunday afternoon. I was unable to complete the work that afternoon, as i needed to order special parts that would not be able to purchase until I got paid on a Wednesday afternoon. I placed the vehical firmly back on the ground, but with the jack stand sitting underneath the rear, so I would not have to continuosly bring the heavy jack, in and out of the apt. While at work on Tuesday afternoon I received a call from my friend stating that a tow truck had showed up at and was in the process of moving into position to tow the vehical. My friend informed the tow-truck driver that he could pull the jack out from underneath the car, and that the car was drivable. The truck driver was ok with this. The maintenace man then came by and informed the truck driver that he wanted the vehical towed, unless I came by to pay the tow truck driver for his time. Although willing, I was unable to the get off work as I had recently started a new position and did not want to jeopordize my opportunity. The vehical ended up being towed, and the money to purchase my breaks with went to paying $300 to the towing company to have the vehical towed back onto the property and stored for the evening. The last issue that finally pushed us over the edge was receiving a letter post marked Wednedsay June 27th, 2007, stating that our lease expired on the 30th of June, and if we wanted to renew the renewal cost would be nearly $50 more a month than our previous lease. Switching jobs recently, and taking a paycut in the process we would not be able to pay this newly jacked up price. We called down to the office that same morning and asked what our options were, as we received the letter extremely late. Our options were to stay and pay the new price signing a new lease, pay market rent, or to leave the complex immediatly. I am currently in the process of obtaining legal action against this complex, as the increase notice was sent out so late, forcing us to lose time at work, while we moved our stuff into storage. We lived at the complex for 6 years and this is the treatment we get. The consumer at Falcon Pointe is unappreciated, stay away from this community at all cost! One exception to the overall rude staff is Brook, she is the assistant manager and currently the longest working team member. Deal with her if you do decide to make the poor decision of moving in there.
