My family has lived here for a while and really like it. Before I get a "if you like it so much, why are you on this website if you're not an employee" response, I DO NOT work here, and I'm on this site because we're moving to a different city and was surprised by the horrible reviews that prospective apartments received, so I came to Templeton Ridge's site for comparison.

I have read the previous reviews, and would like to comment on a few. I have never heard of a car being broken into here, or any other crime committed. Occasionally there will be what seems like a domestic disturbance, but that's it, and it's not very frequent at all.

No noise problem here either. Occasionally someone will have a barbecue or something during the summer and talk outside until 9pm, but nothing that I couldn't sleep through, and not disrespectful at all. It's not like people are partying into the night with loud music and throwing beer bottles around.

Regarding the unsupervised children: wouldn't you WANT to live somewhere where it is safe for children to play outside with minimal supervision' Seriously. Think about it. My kid is outside 12 hours a day playing joyfully. I see no problem with that. In fact, she is devastated that we're moving from here. She loves it. Drivers are careful to drive slowly when kids on bikes are around, etc. If you don't like children, don't move here, there are tons of them. But that's your problem, not the management's.

Regarding maintenance and management, I have seen the manager interact with numerous tenants and is polite, kind, and respectful to even the most difficult tenant. She's personable and easy to talk to. But, of course, you have to pay your rent. If you have a problem with that, live with your Mom.

The maintenance guy is solely responsible for all 80-some units here. He works hard and is running all day long. He is very friendly and the neighborhood kids adore him and he's so patient and accommodating of their curiosity. Sure, sometimes it takes a bit longer to get a blind fixed, but hey, the world doesn't revolve around you. If you want the world to revolve around you, again, live with your Mom.

Special note: the garage door openers take AA batteries. If you can't afford one, I don't know how you can afford rent. I mean, can't you at least go to the office WITH the opener and ask for a battery' Or do you call them up and expect them to hand-deliver a battery to your door' Does it have to be wrapped with a bow' Seriously'

We moved in here years before the current management took over and have only seen vast improvements. By God, our carpet is horrible and old as dirt. Matted and stained from day one. But that's not current managements fault, that's the fault of the management in 2006 when we moved in. New carpet goes in and upgrades are done as older tenants like us move out. Yes, the doors and windows are drafty, but this is a RENTAL! People need to get a grip. Do you think that the VERY reasonable rent here is enough to cover the owner buying 500 windows, enough for all the units' Or do you only want YOURS replaced, because you're special'

In short, this place is a great place for families. If you have children, they will love it here. If you are old and/or crotchety, do us all a favor and stay where you are. We'd like to keep this place as idiot-free as possible.
