I have moved to Colorado Springs without seeing the property and with a very sick daughter to change climate. During the fall we were invadet my wasps and afterasking to have this fixed, I found out from the exterminator that this can not be done, and that this apartment has had problems before. My daughter is highly allergic and we lived in constant fear, I myself got stung and asked numerous times to be moved to another area. My pleas fell on deaf ears. I finally cancelled my contract and moved out after 6 month and forfeited my deposit. They rented this apartment out 3 days after I moved out, but still charged me $1260.00 for supposedly breaking my lease. I do not owe this, but they have reported me to several credit bureaus and it is still showing up after all these years and has ruined my credit.

If you don't truly owe the money and agreed to the termination fee in writing when you signed your lease then they cannot try to collect. Maybe you will read the lease next time and the fact that someone moved in 3 days after you moved out has nothing to do with it. You are paying a termination fee, not rent.
