The noise, dog droppings everywhere, and poor exterior maintenance (the stair rail was about to fall off...) was bad enough, but the management was TERRIBLE! I will admit that they were pretty good about fixing things inside the apartment though, and being right next to open space was great.

We were sent a nasty letter accusing us of throwing cigarette butts off our balcony. Interesting, because we don't smoke, and I doubt our 3-year-old was doing it!

When we were buying a house, I asked how much we would have to pay to get out of our lease - we were told 1 month by the manager. When it came time to actually sign the paperwork, it had suddenly become 2 months. After moving out, we cleaned for a whole day - the place was spotless. We even cleaned the carpets. When we turned in the keys, we told them the carpets were wet because we had just cleaned them. When we got our security statement, they had the nerve to not only take the whole deposit BUT ASK FOR MORE! They charged for 5 hours of cleaning (what were they doing') AND cleaning the carpets - claiming they never knew we had cleaned them! I refused to send them any more money, and we haven't heard from them since. Good riddance.
