Liz is your best friend until it's time to sign on the dotted line. She and her manager friend teamed up and really screwed my wife and I over. They "cashed" our safety deposit check before we had even chosen a unit!
My wife and I were interested and put down $100 to reserve and lock in rates. We were told to come in one day and choose an apartment. When we went in, the check was already cashed..... we hadn't even seen the unit.
Renters beware...they were ready to sell their left kidney or first born - going out of their way to be nice. My $100 was well worth knowing ahead of time that we should not live there... I suggest you do the same and be careful who you work with.
