Some Good, Some Bad

My boyfriend and I have lived here for a year now and there are some good things and some bad.
The Good:
1. The Views! the views are great. Since the Apartment is on a hill you either get the mountains or the night lights of the city. We got the city.
2. The location. I like the location because it is near a school and in a quiet area of the nieghborhood.
3. SOME of the staff. Its about half and alf with the staff. I like a lot of them but you have to know who to avoid and who is really nice.
4. The amenities. The pool is great especially during the summer!
5. The community. There are fun things through-out the year like BBQ's, contests, etc. There are bi-monthly newsletters that keep you informed through-out your stay. I really enjoied being here.
6. The parking. There a garages close by and we didn't have any problem with too many people.
The Bad:
1. The size of the apartment. We rented a one bedroom so maybe this doesn't apply to all of them It's a nice place but to small to live in with furniture and stuff. The 1 bedroom dining room is not really seperated from the living room and if you try to use it for a desk, there isn't a phone or cable hook up for internet.
2. The appliances. The oven, microwave, diswasher, refridgerater, washer, and drier are probably from 1997 when the apartment was built. They all work for the most part but our frezzer doesn't keep things frozen on the coldest setting, even after the maintenance staff replased it, the diswasher doesn't get dishes clean very well, the washer stained our clothes the first few loads (I've been doing laundry since I was a little girl so I know it wasn't me), and washer also doesn't have more than three settings.
3. The other part of the staff. Besides the grumps that are there you also have to deal with a different person every time you walk in. I've talked to so many different people and they don't stay. It seems they restaff every season.
4. Our neighbors. We live on the top floor and no one was below us or next to us so it was pretty quiet but there is a family that lives on the bottom floor and their very permiscuous daughter had different skanky boys over every weekend who would drink all night and leave beer bottles around the steps. It got to be very annoying.
My advice. Go up the street a bit to their sister complex (Pine Bluffs) and get a look at both of the apartments because the prices are similar.
