Nice if you're just driving by--otherwise avoid this place

I finally left after over two frustrating years in this place. Don't believe any of the glaringly positive reviews; it's obviously the management trying to bring up their avg. ratings (who gloats that much about an apartment complex'!). Although I never witnessed any of the aforementioned gang activity (there are some punk kids that live there, but kids will be kids), I do agree that this place has major issues and should be avoided.

First, I'll say that I was never late with my payments, never got in "trouble" with the management, and am not simply retaliating here for having to face the negative consequences of my own actions. This place really is a bad place to live. The management is the worst I've ever dealt with. I once received a "you will be evicted in 48 hrs" letter for a billing error they made. No phone call, no explanation, etc. Just a threatening letter. When I stopped by to resolve it, I explained that I thought that was a crappy way to treat a resident of (at the time) over a year. They said "it got you in here, didn't it'" I could go on and on. The bottom line is the management here is just plain rude and treat you like you're an inconvenience. All the good employees have left.

The apartments and community areas were shoddily built and are falling apart. The whirlpool didn't work correctly in the 2 years I lived there. The "gym" and rec area are filled with broken equipment. The first floor apartments get flooded at least a couple times a year b/c of poor drainage. There's dog crap EVERYWHERE. You cannot even walk through the grass in the common areas b/c of it. It's disgusting. I agree that this is the residents' responsibility, but the management needs to enforce these rules for the sake of all tenants. The "security" gates surrounding the place have been constantly open for about 6 months. They worked intermittently at best the entire time I was there (yet, they charge you a premium for being a "gated" community). Additionally, every pizza delivery guy in town has the code to open the gates when they do work. The grass common areas were grass when they first opened, but most of the sod has since died (presumably b/c they didn't water it appropriately). It looks terrible. I could go on and on about why to avoid this place. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. You'll regret it if you don't.

Um you know I am off today and someone told me about this site so I came to look it over. Let me state that I do not work there but I am a resident and I can say this.. did you miss the water resitrictions that Colorado Springs has been on? And that the sprinklers that did go off based on the watering schedules????? I mean good grief. I agree the landscape needs help but I do see that Landscaping company out often trying to bring it back to life. The dog poop well I am going to out on a limb here but it seems if the "horrible management" as you all are stating tries to enforce anything people get on this site and write stupid responses because they were asked to be accountable. I do use the Gym nightly and have not experienced the issues you named about broken down equipment and I am not the only resident in there. But what I have seen are kids whose parents have not taught them that riding a skateboard on the exercise equipment is not ok and yes I have made them get off and if parent has an issue bring it on. That is how stuff gets broken. Residents who really don't care and should not be allowed to live here anyway. I have lived here 2 years and seen people come and go and I gotta say the new management that has been in place for awhile has really cleaned up the place. The grounds do look better, those crappy kids that were destroying everything has since left for the most part. The Hot Tub and the Pool are in the best shape ever are always warm.I can not say much for the residents who still misuse the pool and hot tub I signed a secuirty paper that states I personally am responible for my own security. I mean really how many of you have followed behind someone as you drove in instead of hitting your remote or typing your code in. You guys want those pizza's delivered to your door don't you? And lets face the fence is not that high if someone wanted in they could. They are called entry gates not security gates. And I am not paying any extra for the gates. I called around and there are places that are not as nice around here and cost more. I have to say I do have time on my hands today and I taking that time to respond to some of the dumb responses that are placed on this site. Do any of you live in perfect places with no issues?? I would think not because the reality is Nothing is perfect.

I can tell this is from the management.why dont you put this effort on youre cuStomer service skills instead of trying to make this place sound good on the net. Last time I was in the office I realize that the manager that they put in the office is really poor in customer relations she does not provide the residents with any answers when it comes to when things are going to get fixed aroung here . she has a title but not the power to go with it. if you have problems with youre apartment you have to gues it youre self because manager dont know nothing here and I do agree about avoiding this place it SUCKS big time expecialy the office staff . THEY ARE RUDE
