I was just looking.....

I am moving from the state of WA, and I am in the military. I was looking at The Vinyards just last weekend (Fri Dec 8th)and was seriously considering moving there in Jan. I was treated ok at first with regards to being shown around and such. I received the necessary paperwork and had it filled out in order to turn it in on Saturday afternoon. The woman who showed me around assured me that they would be open till 5pm on Sat.
I have to agree with the negative statements concerning the staff there. I was told that the office would be open till 5 pm and when I arrived around 3:45 It was locked up. I called the office number and my call was immmediately transferred to the Maintenance Dept. They informed me that the staff had left at 3:30, when I asked whether they would return by 5pm, they responded by telling me that they didnt know. I waited for an hour for them to come, so that I could return the paperwork and rental deposit. They never came back, so I was forced to leave. I called the corporate office in Houston, TX and was screamed at by a woman the answering service that they use, when all that I asked was for a contact person that I could call during the week.
I guess The Vinyards staff had some Christmas shopping to do and wanted to leave early in order to beat traffic. Well, I needed an apartment set up before I drove back to WA b/c I wasnt coming back till I moved out to Colorado Springs.
So, I took my business elsewhere and am very happy with the service that I was given at the Talon Hill Apartments. They treated me like they wanted my business. Ill be moving there in Jan
