We moved into these apartments 2 years ago because we needed someplace that would take two large dogs. We first lived in a one bedroom on the top floor, and had no major problems there. Then we moved to a bigger, more expensive two bedroom, and have had nothing but problems for two years.
It started with the mice. This apartment has so many holes that lead to the outside, that we are constantly overrun with mice. They destroy the carpet and linoleum, which wasn't that great to begin with. Then, about a week after the move, we began to notice the spiders. Of course we called the apartments to deal with both the spiders and mice, but to date, 18 months later, nothing effective has been done. We can lay in bed at night and hear the mice running around in our ceiling.
We have tried to get a leak in our master bathroom fixed for about 8 months now. They have attempted twice to fix it, but without any success. It has been two months since they have done anything at all with it. The only thing that they do when they try to fix it is remove the wet drywall and patch the hole, not fixing the problem that is causing the wet drywall.
We have complained about neighbors that work for the apartments on several different occasions. One employee's husband that lives in the next building over stops outside our apartment and is constantly looking in. Another employee, that lives two floors above us, lets her dog bark continuously on her deck, completely unattended.
The icing on the cake came when a meth lab was busted at the apartment across the hall from us. The apartments served them with an eviction notice the next day, and gave them 3 days to vacate the premises. It is now 6 days later, and they are still there. We have called the leasing office to ask for these people that endangered everyone's lives to be told to leave per the eviction notice, and was told that they would not do anything about it.
We recommend that nobody should endanger their lives by living at these apartments. It has become obvious to us that the management team here does not have any respect for their law abiding, paying on time tenants. They are old, run down apartments that cost too much. We are moving to a brand new, more upscale complex for just a little more than we are paying here. Obviously more than just us realize this, because they have a lot of empty apartments.
