Horrible - Think 5X before coming here

First of all it is a very old and noisy complex. When things are reported to the staff they don't care. First I had a noisy neighbor downstairs who plays his stereo loudly, we called the noise patrol and they call us back informing us that the guy downstairs was drunk and if he turns it up again to call him back. Well as soon as mister secruity guard left, he started yelling and screaming, turned the stereo back up even louder, threatened my family. I called the security officer back up as well as the police (of course they were way to busy to show up on a Saturday night). Mister security guard took a while to get back to our apartment, in the meantime mister drunk downstairs goes into his car, starts it up and shines his headlights into our apartment. Luckily the security guard came at this point, informing him next time the cops will be called. Well we left the apartment, and showed back a couple of hours later, well mister drunk downstairs wakes from a nap and decides, hey let me turn the stereo back on. I'm talking wall shaking, ground shaking, you can hear it from the dumpsters in the parking lot stereo sound. Well I called the police too, they had to show up a couple of hours later. The security officer told me that if he didn't get evicted this time he would be surprised, since this has happened several times. Well the next day when I called the management, they stated that they were surprised, since mister drunk is apparently a nice guy. Not only do I have a drunk that lives below me, I have mister lonely heart upstairs with his "horse" he calls it a dog, well thats when he even admits that he has a dog. This horse will wake you up at 7am on a Saturday. I called to report it to the security guard, no response. We have tried knocking on the guys door, he's never home. We reported it to the management staff, we were told you have to report it to the noise patrol. Well apparently there is a new mister security guard, who doesn't answer the noise problem pages. We tried one morning after being woken up on a Sunday morning. No response, so when the office opened up at noon we called them. The office staff Daphnee (must have been hanging out w/ Fred from Scooby Doo a little too long) states that the security office only answers the lines from 6pm - 6am, and this is aparment living get used to it. Well I can get used to apartment living, since I've been living in them since '98, and I can get used to dogs and cats living in the apartments, but not horses. So miss dingbat tells me that she is going to have the regional manager call me in the morning, since she didn't want me to have the address for management. So the next day, of course no regional manager calls me up, so I take action and call on Tuesday again to try to get the number and address. Well miss Dingbat answers the phone and when I asked for the address, she tells me to hold and hands me off to Michelle. Well Michelle doesn't seem that much brighter than Daphnee. She is appalled that I didn't want to talk to her, and that I want to go "over her head" and talk to her regional manager. This is the first time she has heard of these problems. So I proceed to tell her that the regional manager idea came from Dingbag Daphnee, and she should blame her for not even letting me know that Michelle even existed in the first place. Well she must have been drinking from the same water that Dingbat Daphnee was, since she tells me that this is apartment living and get used to it. She said we allow all size dogs to live here and they are bound to make some noise. Sure that makes sense, but I don't want to hear a horse training for the Kentucky Derby upstairs either, shaking my windows and doors and waking me from my peaceful sleep. Well for a while this horse breeder upstairs claims that he never even had a dog, so I told the management staff to look it up in their records (since we have to pay a PET DEPOSIT). Apparently he has taken back this stupid line, and says that he cannot controll the dog while he was away. Well the day that I was woken up on a Sunday, Mister Horsebreeder, or his Horse in training for the Kentucky Derby, was vacuuming. Pretty amazing trick for his horse. She didn't have much to say about that, other than I can't believe that you are going over my head, and peoples opinions of loud noise are different. Well Dingbat Daphnees manger Michelle has been warned. I told her she had one more chance to solve my problems, or her regional manager would be receiving a registered letter, and I would be calling the police each and every time my peace is disturbed.

Also as a sidenote, when I informed Michelle that the night before I found out that she existed that I called the noise patrol 8 times starting at 6:05PM until 7:45PM, (apparently the horse training sessions were going on for a long time that night) I did not receive a response from him until 9:25PM stating that I paged him, and asked me if he could help. I told him he could have helped me over an hour and a 1/2 ago, the training sessions were over now. Michelle stated that he has another full time job, and he doesn't have to respond in a timely manner, but she would talk to him anyway.

This is only a sample of the crap I had to put up with while living in this "Beautiful Luxury Apartment"
