I live across the street from Windtree, but I remember back in January of 2006 seeing on the news that someone had been murdered there by gunshot. Made me scared and I don't even live in the Windtree neighborhood. You can still find the story on koaa.com and searching "Windtree." I just checked and the story is still there. Also, my friend used to live there in a studio apartment. Right after the shooting happened, she moved in with one of her friends. When I went to visit her at these apartments, the parking was not that bad and it wasn't very noisy, but the area was not very well lit at night. Just be cautious...

I just jumped back on this site after many months and had to respond to this really stupid entry. I am a past resident of Windtree and the only reason I left is because I purchased a home. This entry was written by a past disgruntled employee, not a person who lived across the street during the accident. There was no murder but an accidental shooting. So anyone who reads this garbage should know where it originated.
