Affordable, but VERY nice!

I have been at Windmill since 1998, and have really enjoyed my home here. I have never seen such a gracious and welcoming staff. We started out in a small one bedroom, and have since upgraded to a two bedroom, and love it. We have been tempted by specials from other communities, and looked them over, but even though many of the communities in the area are new, the staff were snobbish and not helpful. They acted like it was an inconvenience to show us anything!
At Windmill, we have had maintenance issues resolved the same day they are called in, we have enjoyed an Annual Pool Party and cook-out where all the residents are invited, and Windmill even hosts a Halloween trick or treat for the kids, and a toy drive at Christmas. It truly is a community feeling, and we love it. The best thing Windmill staff ever did, was hang out yellow ribbons for Military that deployed, and they have sent my Husband care packages and letters while he is still deployed in Iraq. I have read other reviews that are negative about Windmill, but I would encourage more investigation before judging off of their reviews. All communities have their problems, but Windmill has always been good at informing the residents, and they work as fast as they can to resolve any issues that come up. We will continue to stay here until the Military takes us elswhere, but until then, we love our home here! Thank you to Christa, Christina, and Shannon and all the Maintenance guys! You are the BEST!
