06/23/12 by anonymous: Cornerstone staff in general was very nice and accommodating, however the building manager is awful. He does not return phone calls, is rude to tenants(the ones he doesn't blow coke with), and will not hesitate to be dishonest for self benefit. The building is only secure on the 3rd floor and front of 2nd, windows are easy to open from outside. Living in Capital Hill, more

12/03/12 by Littleton_RN: I lived in an apartment here for over 10 years. Yes, it was too long. And yes, I wanted to leave. I wanted to move on, and the neighborhood is noisy, with too many people who just don't care much noise they make. But I wanted to leave on my own terms, and I was planning on taking another 6 to 12 months to do it, so I could gradually prepare and get rid of things I more

12/29/09 by anonymous: DJ is most definitely the worst landlord I have ever had. I called him with the flu and asked him to turn on the heat...I waited for three days. It was zero degrees outside. I had bedbugs and that scheister gave me the runaround for months. And after he finally sprayed (multiple different occasions) he charged me for the mark that the spray left on the wall! I know what you're thinking, more

07/24/13 by befair13: Do not move here unless you like living in discomfort and no ac. Lived here for about two years and put up with a lot. Especially trying to get a leaky faucet fixed that they couldn't. Speaking with dj(dgay, the slumlord) was always terrible he tried to take shortcuts on everything or unable to get a hold of and rude and attitude if you did talk to her/him. All terrafirma properties I lived more

03/18/11 by anonymous: Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere! I can honestly say that DJ Longo is the WORST landlord I have ever had. I was shocked with the way he runs his business as I have had great experiences with all my landlords prior to him. He was completely negligent when it came to heating problems in the dead of winter and had no problem going weeks without returning my calls regarding any maintenance more

06/03/13 by anonymous: I literally still have nightmares about this place. 1. As the previous poster indicated, the lease is for 12 months and requires 30 day notice, but in tiny print at the bottom says 60 days. Even still, they require that you pay rent until it is leased again. I am unsure if this is true as I ended up only having to pay the $500 lease-breaking fee, but maybe they swindled someone more

08/15/14 by anonymous: These are criminals. The apartments have paper thin windows, grounds are disgusting, badly behaved children run free and trash the community, the pools are never clean, the laundry room is in shambles, the crime is unbearable, and maintenance is a joke. We had gas leaks 3 times in 1 year because they hooked the stove up incorrectly. The water would get shut off for days at a time with no notice. more

04/12/13 by onetraveler67: a few things about this very deceitful group that runs and manages the apartments. the $1000 "deposit" they take when you apply is termed non-refundable. this is because it is nothing more than a licensing fee. that money is kept by them and not returned after your lease is completed. you pay that for the "privilege" of renting one of their apartments. that money is theirs more

06/04/12 by anonymous: this location has some serious problems. when i first move here i was pretty confident that this was a good place for residency, because of the secure building and how much management enforces the quiet rule. however shortly after moving i i found all my expectations for this place were apparently too high. management is actually quiet lazy beyond the quiet rule, but late at night theres more
