After living in the building for 1 year, I was forced to move out of my apartment twice due to mold and leaks. I first witnessed mold growing on my wood floors after I noticed that the walls were wet and soft, then noticed colonies of green patches across the majority of the floor. The wood turned black, and I was told that I could still live in the apartment even while all the wood had to be stripped and removed. Obviously, I declined that idea and moved to another apartment where the management refused to provide adequate compensation for the hassle stating, "We cant budge on the price of the rent, but I can give you half off parking." Wow!, thanks.
The second incident occured when there was a problem with leaking pipes that caused a backup of "municipal water" down to the lower floors. Apparently, this is not the first time this has occurred, and is a result of inadequate construction and plumbing throughout the building. Once again, my wood floors and carpet are damp, but now I can smell a musty sewage-like odor that has seemed to absorb itself into the entire apartment. I am still not sure which incident is worse, however the headache from both is the same.
Both incident occurred in two separate apartments on different ends of the building, what are the odds'

It would have been nice to have the apartment numbers , so future residents could avoid those units.
