Research before comitting to this property. Not worth it!

I have lived at this complex for almost one year & wish I had done a little more research before deciding to sign the lease & stay. I have had many problems & they just keep coming. My microwave stopped operating and took approx. 2.5 months to have someone fix it. It would've just been easier & more cost effective to replace it, but that would've been too easy right'

Shortly thereafter my heat went out during the winter, again delays in getting it fixed. Had to use the gas fireplace in the living room to heat a 3 bedroom unit & in turn get a huge energy bill. Do you think the management company would offset the cost' Not at all.

Just recently tried to take a quick dip in the pool but was too grossed out by all the dead bugs floating around. Made my skin crawl. Latest problem; a neighbor who thinks it's perfectly ok to blast their music at 11 pm, 1 am, 3 am, & as of today 5 am. I've had to contact the police 3 times & filed a complaint at the office, to no avail.

For the overpriced rent that is charged (cheaper to buy a house) and the amenities of a "luxury" apartment home that they boast, this place is not worth it all. Even after trying to have a positive attitude about this property & make the best of it while I'm here, I dread coming home, more than I dread going to work. SAVE YOUR MONEY, this place is all hype!

The HVAC issue I am surprised to hear about. Did you read your lease? I would bet that there is a provision stating that if they fail to take action/remedy the problem in a reasonable length of time, that you can have the problem corrected at the Landlord's sole cost and expense. If they language is not in the lease, you should consider throughly reading ANY lease before you sign it. Leases as written always heavily favor the landlord, however, remember two (2) things, if you have great credit and financials you can always negotiate the terms and conditions of a lease and second, despite what ANY lease may state, the courts will not allow you to "sign away your basic rights." I would not expect any landlord to "off-set" my heating bill of I took it upon my self to run my gas fireplace at full blast, I would expect to be reimbursed for having an approved and licensed contractor fix the heating problem.
