I overall would not recommend living at Aero Flats. It looks like a great place on the outside yet once you start living here you start to see things. The gate has never worked unless you get out of your car. We have been told it will be fixed yet its been months. The ovens are tiny to the point where you have to pay new cookie sheets, and they don't keep heat. We did get a new oven...well from another apartment. Its always 80 degrees even in the winter! We have received many noticed to get things off of our patio so they can do serve yet no one shows up, and we are to keep things off of it for 72 hours. Your can tell they went way cheap on a lot of things, where they start to fall apart. We have reported the stuff yet the maintenance just looks at it and says they are all like that and does nothing. One of the staff members treats us unfair yet another is what is keep us here for now. We are looking at other apartments.

Yet again, another tenant who has no clue to anything. I read and read and read these posts and between the pathetic rants of people, know one seems to think that they may be the problem. Let me ask you this, Anonymous, what did you have on your porch that shouldn't have been there? When you moved in, to an APARTMENT, what were you expecting for an oven? A Viking stove, get real. What "things" are you referring to as being cheap? I think you have never once asked maintenance to fix a damn thing. That maintenance staff is really good at fixing things that have been requested to fix. As for the gate, if you want the gate to continually work, how about paying the police to patrol 24/7 of the neighborhood...the kids in the area mess with the giant sensor that allows you to stay in your car. Stop your whining and get over it. Some things are NOT in the control of the staff. And to point out one member of the staff as very helpful and another one as lazy and unfair, I don't think you have dealt with anyone in that office that is unfair. I believe that you are treating that property and the staff unfair, for what you think is an awful property. Before you review a property, why don't you move back home with mommy and daddy and grow up!!!!!

In response to msinger30: A clarification of the gate issue, we were told when we moved into the apartment that some of the openers weren???t working and that they would get a new system installed in January. It still hasn???t happened. We have talked to the office four or five times since then and they keep telling us that they are working on it that very minute. We still don???t have a working gate opener after living here for six months. We have talked to the office staff numerous times about maintenance issues. One of the prime examples of the maintenance issues is that when you go to plug something into the wall the plug won???t stay in the outlet. This makes it extremely difficult to plug any thing in because if you want it to stay in you have to hold it in for it to work. The maintenance staff come in and said they are all like that and walks out. I got so fed up with it that I looked at it myself and found that there was a simple 30 second fix to the problem. Why am I paying so much for a staff that can???t do a simple job that a five year old could do. The issue about the porch isn???t about what we have on our porch that we shouldn???t. The issue is they said that they are going to power wash and seal our porch. They have told us to remove all of the things on our porch so they can do this maintenance. They never show up to do this maintenance twice. And the power washing and sealing still has not happen. We currently have a maintenance request in to the office to come and look at our thermostat because our apartment is a constant 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This call has been in to the assistant manager for almost a week. A Viking Range would be awesome but that isn???t what we were expecting. We had to go and buy new cookie sheets because standard cookie sheets will not fit in the oven. Our cookie sheets are 9.5 inches by 13 inches (Just larger then a regular piece of paper). The oven takes 45 minutes to heat up and when you put something in the oven the temperature drops over 50 degrees. We talked to the office and they won???t do anything about it. Also the out side of the oven gets very HOT we have a small child and are very concerned about him burning himself. There is a call box to allow guest in to the apartment complex. We were supposed to get our name put in the box when we moved in. Our name was not put in the box. We went and talked to the office just four or five times and still nothing. It took five months to get our name in the box. The office is supposed to inform you when you receive a package. They have not informed us about 90% of the time. If you don???t pick up your package with in ten days they will return it to the sender. How are you supposed to pick up a package that you don???t know about? When we were trying to get a contract here they would not pick up the phone so we left a message yet no one called us back. I ended up calling 15 times before someone answered the phone as I was driving to the complex. You as in msinger30 say that we need move back with mommy and daddy until we grow up. My wife and I have lived in combined total of 26 different apartments over a period of 11 years. AERO FLATS has been the worst place we have ever lived. You say that you read and read these posts. Is that all you do. You sound a lot like the member of the office staff that is rude to us. If so you just cruise the internet and try and make the apartment complex sound good and not deal with the actual tenants that are having problems.

All these issues have been going on since DAY 1 after the original rennovation about 4 yrs ago. The European tin ranges have been issues since they were installed, as well as the gate and the heat/utilities problems. I moved in as one of the first original tennants, and as I read these 4 years of posts, it seems that the problems get progressivly worse. I lived here when the Corp office came in and completely changed the management staff due to obvious reasons. I guess things still haven't changed. I used to think that all apartment communities were the same, but after I moved from old Capitol Hill to Aeroflats to an apartment townhome community (Carriage Place Apts) in the heart of DTC, I have found that only this place has all the problems. I now handle real estate, and with the current market with an overabundance of available condos & townhomes, you may wish to consider buying. Your mortgage can be even lower than rent.
