ArchStone DTC was the worst apartment I have ever rented from. First it cost more than $1 a square foot, for no lighting and loud neighbors. The grounds people came at 5am to LOUDLY scrape the snow out from in front of your door because they didn't think ahead of time to put anti-ice salt down. There is only assigned parking and they tell you it is the spot in front of your apartment when you move in and then after a couple months, when someone new is trying to move in, tell you it is down the street. Cars were being broken into nightly. Also, don't try to get anything fixed in your apartment or any facilities, because they will tell you it is done and then a couple months later, actually start to work on it. And last but not least, after I moved out, I got a bill for $400 for carpet replacement for a 500 sq foot apartment. After I paid it, they sent me to collections. Then when I informed them thay I had paid it and they swore that all was taken care of, a couple weeks later I call to make sure that all is ok and my collection account is gaining interest. They tell me again that all is taken care of, but I still have to check to make sure that I do not have anything getting put on my credit because of the lack of responsibility of the employees of ArchStone DTC to their tenants. I beg anyone who is thinking of renting from this complex to think twice, thrice and a fourth time so they don't get as disappointed as I am in an apartment complex.
