STAY AWAY FROM ARAPAHOE CLUB!!!!

The Problems:

1. Overflowing trash recepticles.
2. RUDE staff, especially the new office
manager -------. They really could care
less if you live here or not.
3. Carports: better hope you don't get
at the end of carport number 24 or 25;
otherwise you WILL deal with tenants
parking their car(s)and/or a giant moving truck
behind your vehicle, completely
blocking you in. Try being late for work
because some moron has blocked you in.
And trust me, this happens on a regular
basis. I asked management to at least post
a No Parking sign to help fix this problem.
I was basically told to just deal with it.
In the winter when the parking lot is plowed for snow,
they pile all of the snow at the end of carports 24 and
25. I have a 4x4 SUV and was unable to get out
of my parking space due to the 2-3 foot pile of
snow behind my vehicle. Once again, I asked very
politely for the plow to not dump the snow behind
parked vehicles. Isn't that just common sense'
Once again, I was ignored! They wouldn't even get
maintenance out to shovel the snow. Instead, I was
told to park somewhere else during the snow season.
Excuse me'! I pay $25/month for that space!!!
4. Appliances are old and dirty. Hope you
don't get a stove that's display is
completely scratched off. I don't know
about you but I think it's a fire
hazzard when you can't tell what burner
your turning on or what temp you've
set the oven on.
5. In the winter time plan on spending
ALOT of $$$ on your energy bill. You can
just feel the cold air coming trough the
windows, and doors. Also, most of the
time the sidewalks are NOT scraped when
it snows. I've had to step in snow up
to my knees.
6. Poor Maintenance: When we moved in the
place wasn't clean. The heater and
air conditioner weren't working. At one point
in time, the tenants below us had water leaking
in their bathroom. The maintenance man, -------,
although very nice but doesn't understand English,
had decided it was coming from our apartment.
I guess he thought we were overflowing our bathtub
and it was leaking through the floor into the apt.
below us. He came into our apartment at least three
times and each time all he did was feel around on the
bathroom floor for water. The fourth time he came
banging on our door at midnight on a weekday,
I am serious, my husband would not let him in.
The problem was never resolved and the tenants moved out.
Good for them!
7. In 2007, management decided you could only
renew your lease for 6 mos. or less.
This is because they want to raise your
rent as soon as possible. In 2005, I was
paying $815. My rent was $880 when I moved
out in 2007.
8. The lease states no dogs are allowed. I had
a huge pile of dog poop in front of my building
for almost a month. I felt it was management's
responsibility to clean it up. After two written
complaints, one from myself and the other from
another tenant, the poop was finally removed.

The Good:

1. Spacious apartment; great floor plan
2. Lucious trees
3. Location; you're practically in a neighborhood
4. Easy acess to I-25

The Worst:

1. The staff and owner: Fuer Development
2. I reported Fuer Development to the
Better Business Bureau when the owner
would not respond to my numerous
phone calls; Fuer would not respond to
the complaint.

BOTTOM LINE: This apartment complex looks really nice on the outside. The landscaping
is beautiful and the buildings themselves are nice looking as well. The problems
begin after you move in. There are much better apartments to live in. Trust me. We lived in an Equity apartment before Arap Club. We were very pleased with them and only moved out because of their location (Green Valley Ranch area). Don't just take my opinion about Arap Club, look at all of the other bad reviews.
Good luck to you!

I agree, I had all of the same problems with management, parking and the electric bills. Also, they use one water company that charges you the same amount no matter how much water you actually use. I moved out three weeks early and the last water bill was HIGHER then all of the other bills I had gotten. Be careful and if you can talk to someone who already lives there.
