I wanted everyone to know before renting (I wish I did) that the Arapahoe Club Apartments have a serious problem with noise. I moved in a few months ago and I haven't been able to sleep through the night even once. When people run water in neighboring apartments, it sounds like you are underneath a water fall. I have had friends stay the night who have commented, "I don't know how you live here." My parents came into town and stayed at a hotel because of the noise. In addition to the noice of running water, the pipes vigorously knock. Finally, after this sound ends you have the wonderful noise of your neighbors walking around. When they walk, not only do you hear them (that is really not the problem) but the light fixtures shake and they too make noise while they swing. This is my 9th apartment I have lived in and it is by far the loudest.
Other than the noise, the apartment is adequate. You get what you pay for. The rent is cheap so what do you expect.
The office management is very nice but probably not as honest as they could be. Before I moved in, I asked a lot of questions and viewed the actual unit I moved into several times. A lot of the answers I got to my questions have turned out to be false. I have read other reviews about Bernice and I have found her pleasant.
Parking is normally okay. The only problem is if you are coming in late at night. The complex only has enough spots for everyone to park one car. So if you are the last one in, you might be parking on the opposite side of the complex.
Maintenance has always fixed everything (except the knocking pipes) immediately.
Overall, if you don't mind A LOT OF EXTRA NOISE - move in. Otherwise, please keep looking, you'll thank me.
