Not in your best interests

I lived here for some time because it was relatively close to both my job in the DTC and downtown Denver.

It wasn't the nicest or cleanest or quietest place, but I found the property manager agreeable and nobody bothered me.

There were a series of odd incidents over the years that included drug activity, domestic violence, and someone trying to scam fellow residents.

Most were thankfully dealt with evictions when the property manager moved into the building.

I could hear the people below me fighting constantly and that was only taken care of when the woman smartly left the guy.

There is private parking, but it is poorly maintained in bad weather and I had to drop 1k on repairs for what the dip leaving the lot did to my car over time.

Everyone warned me that moving out of this place was a hassle and they were correct.

As a result I communicated greatly with the property manager, put many hours into cleaning the place and paid to have the carper professionally cleaned.

I got the a-ok from Tam upon moving out as she was very helpful in identifying what needed to be touched up before I left even though she was sick at the time.

After not receiving my deposit in the first 30 days I started calling and they didn't return any calls.

Then I received a bill for $1430 via certified mail for a new carpet and cleaning with photos that didn't prove very much beyond typical wear.

I was assured by my check out I was fine and then they went and pulled this.

I am speaking with a lawyer and I don't think I will have to pay the elusive Deane Johnson her money, but the has all been a huge hassle.

They treat their tenants poorly when not ignoring them and the lesson learned here is it's easy to look the other way for years, but in the end they'll get you.
