I'm still here in 2009, but this won't let me change it to show that. We are going to have to lease another year and I am so sad.
The positive things about the apartment

space
air conditioning and heating
maintenance men who normally attempt to fix things
walk-in closet in one room, bathroom in another
pool
laundry facilities
you get half of the porch
rent is reasonable
they just redid the laundry room so there are new washers and dryers

The negative things about the apartment

one pane windows...UPDATE...They redid the windows, so they now open easily and are double pained.
laundry room is almost always dirty, has only 8 washing machines for the whole complex and often has a broken machine or two
thin walls
unsteady construction (my 40 lb 4 year old makes the apartment shake)
there are always kids running around or riding their bikes in the parking lot unsupervised
Cruddy neighbors
You can see outside when the door is closed, huge gap that they haven't fixed
a.c. did work until this summer, now it's been broken and off for at least 3 months
we aren't allowed to have washers in our apartments because they 'damage the plumbing' I don't like being lied to.
They had the maintenance men fix an outlet that now sparks when you pug things in
Even if you've paid your rent before it's due date every month for 2 years if you are a day late once, they are just waiting to slap a 3 day warning on your door and charge you $50
