Nice Old Building

The buildings here are pretty nice, and everything was made very well (a long time ago). Not all units have hardwood floors (mine doesn't), so be sure you ask. The tile in the bathrooms and linoleum in the kitchen is great. In fact, the whole design of the place is really nice.
The bad stuff: no AC, no dishwasher, no disposal, no W/D hookups, no central heat. I haven't had the problems with the electrical outlets that others here have, but I've heard others complain about them.
A lot of the people who live here are college-age kids. Some people are inconsiderate and yell upstairs at 3 AM or slam car doors, etc., and on weekend nights there are bound to be parties. Overall I don't think it's a huge problem - you can always call the police if the noise is continuous.
The dryers are really awful in the laundromat. They did extend the time on them to 1 hour (for $1), and they often dry a modest load in one cycle now.
I recommend this place if you like the idea of living in an old place without a lot of modern conveniences. But if you want amenities, convenience, free parking, etc., look elsewhere.
