Ive lived here for 2 years. Its been my home. However, I love management but I hate the location and the neighbors. Ill explain a few instances below-
Pets on 2nd floor-
Me and my sister were on the porch talkin after a long shopping day. And suddenly, My sister has something dripping on her legs from the apartment porch above. Turns out, The people upstairs was too lazy to take their dogs outside, so they let them go on the porch, therefore , it leaked onto my porch. This was a everyday thing, I was constantly mopping my porch.
Loud people all night long-
People are constantly doing something outside, rather its fighting, partys, or whatever else they do, this doesnt end until 3-4 am . The doors are loud and heavy and u can hear the main entrance door slamming all ours of the night, the walls are like paper. Not to mention, if u put ur phone number in the keypad for buzzing in. People that forget their keycards will call you ALL DAY LONG and night. asking you to let them in the apartments.
Not safe for my taste-
1.) They were working on the roof at one point, and we got a huge rain storm, we heard a huge crash, and here the people that were working on the roof left a huge metal sheet up on the roof and it blew off and busted the benches in the sitting area near the mail boxes, luckily nobody was out there. It sat out there for an entire day until finally me, my husband and another neighbor moved it againist the wall so nobody would get hurt.
2.) First off, I got a bike for me and my 2 year old to ride during the day, because the park here really isnt a park lol. I took one of those locks from walmart and left it locked up on my porch, however, some bum came and stole it. Happens often, i see bikes on the bike rack that has their tires removed. lol. also say some bum trying to steal a seat off of one, he was caught however.
3.) Some bum on the street or a neighbor tried breaking into my apartment, i live on the first floor, woke up in the morning and my screen had been taken out and there was 2 hand prints on the outside of my window from where they tried to get in. However, because Denver is horible with bums and crackheads walking around, I keep my doors locked.
4.) During Holloween there was a party in town and it was brought to the apartments, The group was fighting outside of my daughters window and the man shoved the woman through my daughters into knocking the screen out, i had to chase them off with a broom and threaten to call the police. My daughter no long sleeps in that room, she sleeps with her father and I.
5.) A woman was in the hall screeming for help beating on my door at 2am in the morning, i opened my door and saw her laying on the floor and some guy standing near her, supposedly they got drunk and he beat the crap out of her in the hallway.. I called the police, dont know how it was resolved.
This is just a few things that has happened since i lived here for the past 2 years. My husband makes more money now and we are moving to a different area. As soon as my lease is up in July. This place is nice, new apartments and management is nice, however, i wouldnt recommend a family with young children to move here.
