Moved to Denver over 3 years ago from New York City. First lived in a friend's basement, then looked for apartments. I found Bike Trail Apartments through a friend who lived here. I live at 2550 S Valley Hwy, there are two Bike Trail Apt buildings. Both hold about 12 units . . . 6 on top and 6 on the bottom. From the outside, it looks like a little motel.

The inside is amazing. Very well laid out. Big living room, eat-in kitchen, large bedroom. I'm lucky enough to live in one of the 4 apts that has a big bay window looking out onto the Highline Canal Bike Trail. The other apartments have regular windows looking onto the Bike Trail.

The kitchen and living room windows are huge and have a mountain view. Of course, you see them over the highway wall. But the traffic noise is low, and the place is so well-insulated, that when you shut the door, you get complete silence. Plus, the place comes with a washer-dryer, dishwasher, and very friendly folks in the building.

I've really loved living here. And would stay here if I weren't moving to Chicago. Am sad to lose the best apartment I've lived in in 30 years, and the great view, and having the bike trail for great walks.

Another advantage is this place is privately owned, no big corporate landlords to deal with. So maintenance is great, the grounds are very sweet and well-taken care of.

Sigh. Wish I could take this place with me to Chicago. Lived here a year, and it's a sweet little domain.

Just remember to run a Sex Offender search. There are 4 in those complexes. One is the landlord of the 2580 unit
