Broadway Plaza is in a "transitional neighborhood," so it may not give you the most secure feeling in the world, but hey...it's downtown. Where are you going to feel secure' Perhaps somewhere where residents don't prop the doors open to walk their dogs (which they don't clean up after). Bums take this as an opportunity to sleep inside the building, which is nice. The actual apartments are obviously cheaply built, but that's standard for these huge mass-produced loft complexes that are springing up all over Denver. The building is income-capped, so it is reminiscent of dorm living. The alarms at the doors constantly were going off, since residents are apparently idiots and held their handles open for 30 seconds, but recently they just turned the alarms off. A lack of security in lieu of noise-reduction I guess. Trash chutes pile up, and smell TERRIBLE. Staff is friendly, but office hours are poor (posted as 9-6, but 10-5 is more realistic). The A/C only cools the living room, and barely at that. I have mine running even now, when the high temps are in the 50s. Not having to pay for utilities is nice. Guest parking is ample on the streets, as we live in the ghetto. That leads to seeing shattered glass every, well, day, on the street. Anyway....it's a good starter apartment. As soon as you make enough $ to get out, I'll bet you will!

Oh yeah - their promised "deals" upon moving in are not all they promise. Ask a LOT of detailed questions about their promises (ESPECIALLY which apt. you are getting....being dropped 3 floors the day you sign your lease lets a little air out of your excitement tires). If you're offered 1 month free rent, and only a $99 deposit, you think, "wow, what a great deal!" However, they don't mention until signing day that it is one or the other. Oh well. lGjq8RUBjvsZjkb5ueji
