Ahhh, time to tell the truth about this place (although lots of recent posts seem to hit it on the nail). So my boyfriend moved here in June of 2005 and things were good for awhile. I then moved into Broadway in June of 2007. Everything seemed okay at first as well. The only problems I had then were that Ryan was an ignorant a**hole, but Tori was great. She would even buy doggie treats for our dog and actually knew and cared about us!(how amazing!). When me and my boyfriend finally started dating, I moved into his apartment (around fall 2007). Tori quit sometime in 2008 and then after a million complaints Ryan got fired. That's when new management moved in and this place started to become hell. There were three cool maintenance guys at that time as well. One of them quit, and one of them got fired (Chris later filed a lawsuit because he felt he was fired because he wasn't Latino, he was black...I'd have to agree with this). Maro is still awesome. We actually go right to him now for all our maintenance troubles because he fixes them within a day or so (much faster than complaining to the office). Then all sorts of odd residents started coming in. Examples: those who let their dog poop on the ninth floor and don't clean it up.. you can thank us for cleaning up your ----. Or those who have a birthday party on the balcony and don't clean it up... whiskey bottles and beer packs all over the place...it was DISGUSTING. or the guy on the fifth floor who lets homeless people into his home for some odd reason (no really he does!!.. hopefully he left but he was here this summer still). Or the guy who opened up my dryer of clothes so my clothes wouldn't dry...cause apparently its really rude to pull someone's clothes out of a dryer when they leave them in there for hours and you need YOUR clothes dried. Also homelessness is a HUGE problem...ask Maro about the homeless couple that were having oral sex in the stairway. Or the ones who do crack in the stairwell all the time. or the ones who sleep under the fire escape outside. Once coming back from a bar we saw todd closing up the community room (which by the way never gets closed like they say it will) and told him about a couple sleeping under there, but when we let our dog out they were still there that night...yeah nice to know he's so scared that he wont say anything to protect all of his residents, real nice. if they sell you on security, don't be fooled. yes, we have a card that only lets us up to our floor with that card, but did you know once someone has access to a stairwell (all they need is to get in the back entrance) they have access to everywhere'!'! that includes the community room, the laundry room (stealing clothes out of a warm dryer anyone'), your own apartment in fact, the parking garage, your truck eh' (ill get to that later). or like tonight for example, both gates to the second and third floor garage are wide open, so my boyfriend called maintenance and they can't do anything about it.. the first cold night of denver this season and now homeless people can walk right up into the second floor (don't need a card for THAT door) and go into the staircase and go wherever. they just don't have security on ALL doors and that is key because here one unsecured door and these people can go anywhere! Even to the parking garage where we had a camera stolen out of our truck. too bad the one camera in the garage didn't catch our truck being broken into. no one even came down to check it out. Maro was the only one who was asking us questions and trying to see it on camera. all the others in the office including todd ignored us and tried to pretend it wasn't happening and to focus on something more positive, like where were those damn sticky notes' we checked our lease agreement and they are not responsible for anything that happens to its residents, even ASSAULT. this being a low income housing unit they just can't afford to upgrade things like a normal building unit, but they could at least care and they don't. which is a shame. i mean we used to go out on the balcony and enjoy it, but the tables are always wobbly as well as some tiles. and the community room tv is all fuzzy. its just a mess. oh yes, and if you happen to encounter a problem with a homeless person trying to squeeze in the front door to stay warm in winter, don't bother calling broadway they dont care, you have to call the police and then when they finally come, they say "oh, they were just looking for a warm place to stay", yeah pig, it's our home, doesn't that matter' they just don't realize what a danger these homeless people can be and it makes living here now unsafe and you feeling uneasy all the time. there are plenty of apartment buildngs that are cheaper just a few blocks from here. they may not be safer, but when your saving 400 bucks a month it probably doesnt seem so bad. or i'd recommend that you pay an extra 400 bucks a month and live in premier apts where they care and can AFFORD to keep you safe and still make a profit on their building. how's that for a review' lets see someone who has a positive review name details like that!

Thanks for the comment. I really have nothing else to say. I have ask Todd and the other's for things and it is I'll get back to you, And that is as far as it gets. I have even been told is you dont like it here you can move out. Todd get's free rent and on the weekends he is no where to be found. As of today the sign on the Community room for Labor weekend is still. You can not plan you use the room Because you never know when it will be lock or not. When the a..holes rude the room everyone is to blame, Because lock it up for day's. Well thanks

I have to disagree..... I have lived here for several years, and since the new management have started, the building is much cleaner, and I really enjoy living here. I think you need to remember that crime happends everywhere, just not at Broadway Plaza. Also, if you don't like the area, then why are you still living here??? I have seen a huge change in the residents that are moving in, all of the old crazy, party people seem to be moving out and I am impressed with several of my new neighboors. I will renew my lease and stay for several more years, you can not beat the price and free parking, not to mention the great location for those of us who enjoy living downtown!! Please don't take out your frustrations on here and blame it all on the friendly management, like i said, crimes happen everywhere!
