This may be a long story but I feel all should know about this property so no one ever moves in here. In addition to extremely loud and disrespectful neighbors, (that threatened to kill me) management and the main office are useless. I have lived in the Regatta Apartments for 1 year. Not by choice, however. It got to the point I begged the office to let me out of my lease every time I dropped off the rent, which they were happy to take off my hands of course. In December of 2004 my whole family became extremely ill, to the point we couldn't walk. I had no insurance for myself or my 2 year old daughter, but went to the doctor anyway several times.(I lost my insurance because I was to sick to work) After 3 months and 3 doses of antibiotics I began to investigate my apartment. To my horror I found mold growing in my ceiling near the heat vents. I begged to be out of my lease again (even though I only had 1 month left) and was denied again. I even sent a letter to the office from my doctor who also pled our case. The office also neglected to change our excel bill into our name until shortly before I became ill, and I now have to pay thousands of dollars in late fees. I have never been so miserable and this is my 10th apartment complex, I have never been treated so badly.If anyone has any advise please email me, I would like to find some course of action for the months of my life lost, fear, and misery we have had to endure here. We will be moving out of here in 2 weeks and every time I think about it, the excitement is overwhelming, to finally be rid of this place!
