I admit it's been a long time since I've lived there, but it still gives me a panic attack when I think about it. I could never prove it, but mysteriously, a gold charm and a pair of earrings both disappeared on days the land lady was in the apartment, once showing the apartment without permission or notification.
Also, do the words sick building syndrome and diseased carpet mean anything to you' I was sick and had terrible depression (not just from living there) the whole time I was there.
The worst, the neighbor above us where the relatives of the landlady. They ran around the apartment like crazy people, ran water for hours, not kidding, at all hours, and would scream loudly at each other. When we asked them to be quiet, we were told we were not ever speak to them personally, but go through the management, who of course decided they were fine! Now I don't know if that lady and her family is still there, but the noise, the building's owners willingness to tolerate such bad behavior from management, not to mention the smell, tell me to avoid this place!
