1. Poorly constructed - (a)formica countertops were not properly glued and keep lifting; floors slope, trim around doors is so rough (never sanded) that it's difficult to clean.
(b) Fire sprinkler system is poorly insulated. These pipes froze and burst when temperatures dropped below zero. Now I have to plug in an electric heater to warm my entryway, hopefully preventing more broken pipes. However I won't leave the heater running when I'm asleep or away, so there are still risks with this shoddy construction. Mgmt promised to build in a heater two years ago. After several followups, I'm still waiting.
2. NOISY, LARGE DOGS! Lots of corporate apts--these people get away with murder by violating dog size and putting trash out on weekends even though trash pickups are only M-F.
3. NOISY, DIRTY construction and loss of privacy outside my front window as I watch a 20-30 story mid-rise being constructed.
4. There are now 5 PORTA-POTTIES OUTSIDE MY FRONT WINDOW used by the construction workers. Mgmt refuses to give any rental allowance for these inconveniences.
5. Landscaping has been overlooked for 2 yrs. If I complain about dead shrubs/trees, they simply remove them and don't replace anything.
6. Outside windows haven't been washed in 2 years. I attach the Windex dispenser to my water hose and wash them myself.
