All depends on staff

I have lived here for quite a few years. I have seen the staff come and go and it is amazing how the difference in staff can make or break the experience here.

The old staff knew you by name. When you had a package in the mail, they would gladly look it up. The new guys take a long time to know your name. When you have a package, they act like it's not important and say that they know the packages and it did not arrive... even though you can plainly see the package in the pile of incoming packages.

Don't know about safety issues- maybe it's an issue if you live in the apartments that faces the Alpenhaus complex (west buildings), but if you live in the other set of apartments (east buildings), I have had no problems. It does seem however that whenever the Denver cops do come to respond to a call, it always seems to be for the west buildings. However, I have somtimes taken the long way around to my building rather than let non-residents in at 2am. You really want to say "Sorry, can't open the door for you" at 2am to a drunk guy'

Speaking of letting people in, as long as I have lived here, there is an access system that has not been fixed in the time I have lived here. I think management thinks that now people have cell phones that its not worth the cost of fixing it. But nothing is more annoying than the SAME characters who HONK outside the building at 1, 2, 3, 4 AM to let them know that they're here. Management seems to have done nothing about that.

Sometimes, the water gets shut off without notice. Ok, it's an old building- I can accept that, but when a notice is posted that reads "The water will be shut off on (date) until the problem is fixed". Um... what is the problem'

The rent is relatively low and you pretty much get what you pay for. Given the location right off I-25 and Colorado/Evans with a bus line that has a stop right at the apartment and light rail very close by, it's worth it. Neighbors aren't too bad. When a resident smokes weed, you know it when you walk down the hall.
