My roommate and I found what we thought was the perfect apartment complex two months ago when we applied to live here. We have lived here a total of three weeks and since the day we paid our deposit it has been a nightmare.

It started with our attempts to sign a lease. Though we made the appointment weeks in advance they kept forgetting about us and not having the paper work ready.

Next our move in date was changed which they informed us of less than a week in advance of our proposed move in date. Then it was pushed back yet again.

Next we moved in got settled and learned that pretty much everything that we were told on our tour was untrue. The apartment was not clean (there was a tobacco spit cup sitting in our Kitchen), the heat is central no individual apartment has control, the water is brown from rust, they painted the wrong walls, parking is not easily accessible and the walks are not well lit, none of the upgrades promised to our apartment were made, there are very few washers and dryers and the hours on the laundry rooms are VERY limited, the recycling service was cancelled. We have lived here 4 weeks and the hot water has already been turned off 3 days without warning.

Each of these things taken individually would not have made a big difference. However, the rudeness of the staff, their unwillingness to return phone calls and their condescending tone every time we do reach them has made the prospect of living here another five months unbearable.

I understand that the buildings are old however, I don't see how that is an excuse for poor service. Further, the property tours and rent prices should reflect this age if it causes so many problems.

We are stuck here but you aren't DO NOT LIVE HERE. The initial deal sounds great but honestly it is not worth your money.
