Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2004
I've lived in the gardens for 3 years now. At first it was nice and peaceful and (on street) parking was not too much of a problem.
This place has gone to the dogs in the last year, literally. Management has stated admitting large dogs into the complex. People go to work in the morning and leave their large dogs stuck in a tiny apartment. Dog constantly bark for their owners. And on the subject of dogs, I'm sick to death of being jumped on by large dogs off leash. On a positive note, at least the owners pick up after their dogs.
If you move in expect your hot water to go off once or twice a month. I've been told in confidence by ex maintenance staff that the building entire plumbing system needs to be replaced - my taps drip all the time and maintenance can't fix them without replacing all the fixtures (which they won't do).
They leaf blow the entire complex every (week-day) morning starting at 8:30 am. This creates an incredible amount of noise pollution for over two hours. Then there?s the lawn mowing etc?..
The office staff appear to be helpful on the surface of things, always asking 'does anything need fixing' when you drop of your rent. But actually getting anything fix is another matter - it just doesn't happen, so I've just stopped asking them to fix anything because it's just a waste of my time.
Example:
They have gas BBQ over in the pool area. I used to use them a couple of times each month. But, every so often the gas would be empty. So after preparing a BBQ, inviting friends over and lugging everything over to the pool area, I'd have to turn around and go home. So I asked the staff to remedy the situation. They told me that the only way they knew the gas was empty was when someone told them - they didn't check it. When I explained the inconvenience it had caused me, they told me that I was permitted to have my own BBQ on the balcony if I didn't like the ones in the pool area. In other words, screw you; go buy your own BBQ.
The office staff has no follow though with complaints.
The maintenance staff (Dania and Tex) for example were very nice helpful people - though they could only do what they were authorized to do (i.e nothing).
Unfortunately they have been 'let go off'. I don't care for one of their replacements. My wife and I call him 'mullet man'. He hangs around and stairs at my wife in the morning when she getting in her car. The guy seems way to creepy to have access to the keys to your apartment.
It's also pretty funny to read the recent positive reviews about CCTG. They are so obviously written by the staff. All they mention is how great the staff is and the recent improvements in amenities. If nothing else that should illustrate to you just how thing are done around here. Instead of making their tenants happy, so they get positive reviews, they deceive the public by writing their own positive reviews.
Oh and I almost forgot to mention the rodent problem. Best you have a pet cat if you do decide to live here. ?? and don?t forget the earplugs.
