Going down hill

Don't rent here. This complex is made up of a lot of corporate apartments, and the staff has no interest in keeping current residents.

Walk around the property, and you will see VERY POOR maintenance. Things like sweeping or picking up trash -- non-existent. The dryers vent to the stairways, and you can see months of built up lint all over. Also check out the dumpsters -- usually overflowing with garbage on the outside.

The front office is INCREDIBLY unresponsive, not even returning phone calls unless you call several times. Though they have posted office hours, don't count on it; they close at whim, without notice, for several hours at a time, which makes package retrieval unpredictable and difficult.

The location is borderline; to the north, it's a nice neighborhood, to the south -- it's the bad part of town. Maybe this is why Equity, the managment company, has "given up" on this property and its maintenance.

Cars have been broken into (by throwing bricks into them), and the community mailbox broken into as well. The management, again, doesn't seem to care at all about improving safety or even walking through the property to ensure that things are okay.

This place is just plain old dirty, with an apathetic front office. If you need a corporate apartment, who cares' If you want a home, you're better off just about anywhere else.

I mostly agree with you, especially about the car thing. My brand-new car, which I'm leasing for a couple of years, was scratched near the driver side (and it doesn't look like it was an accident) and people have been kind of rowdy at like 3 or 4 in the morning on weekDAYS (although that has calmed down tremendously...for now). I just have to ask, where the heck are you from that anywhere around that apartment is "the bad part of town"?

The grounds remain dirty and I walk by things daily thinking "maintenance will get to that" like a disintegrating concrete step. Only to turn in a report/compaint and they say, "really? We had no idea!" Huh? The mailboxes were broken into twice to several times and all they did was install a locked gate (that is unlocked 50% of the time and you can jump over it). How about a security camera?! We also had a problem moving in. They told us that our carpet was being replaced and when we arrived to move in (at night) they were being cleaned (new carpet?)! So we waited and waited and then moved into a wet apartment. They knew when we were scheduled to move in and we weren't early. The front staff are young and disorganized. They are cute though and that's the important thing! If you are temporary (3 months) maybe. Any longer, look elsewhere.
