Don't judge a book by its cover...

Aesthetically, the apartment appears exquisite and charming. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern in appearance, there are nice high ceilings, and the main room has very nice molding. The unit is of a decent size, with lots of square feet. Trash collection is a nice convenience taking place every M, W and F. The pool is nice and so is the clubhouse. It has a very nice gym with lots of equipment, but many of the dumbbells are missing.
Herein lies the problems; parking can be a serious frustration. I have two automobiles but pay for one covered space and that has alleviated most of my issues just having a guaranteed space if I'm out late. Parking requires a permit after 10pm and the towing company who has the contract is serious about towing vehicles no matter how minor the infraction. My car was towed for not having current registration when my year sticker was stolen (I did have current registration, in case you were wondering because I'd only owned the car for 3 months.) Towing charges were in excess of $200 and I missed half a day of work taking care of this.
Noise is a serious issue. I hear my upstairs neighbors all the time. It is so loud I sometimes feel like I'm living in Jurassic Park. On more than one occasion I've awoken to parties in the next building at 4am. For awhile I had neighbors whose dogs barked all the time, and the sound easily went through the walls.
Not a serious issue, but the front gate doesn't function well. In order to click in, I have to be right next to the gate box or it won't open. Usually there is a car sitting there waiting for someone to let them in. I have to hope that my clicker will open the gate if I'm only a car's length away, which usually it does not. I tried replacing the battery in the clicker but that did nothing.
The management has changed since I moved in and I think they are trying to deal with many of the maintenance and parking issues. Overall I'm happy with the appearance of the apartment, but less than pleased with the noise. If you read poor reviews of an apartment complex look for the trends. There may be a total "complainer" review or two, but in all of the reviews a few things might stand out. These tend to be the real issues and if you don't mind them, move in. Otherwise, look elsewhere. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS
