You know, a lot of reviews on here point out the positives, and that's nice. So let's start with that, shall we' There's no dog poop on the hallway floors nowadays. That's nice. Smoking is way down and is banned from the public areas. So that's good. Foxfire is way better than that hobo shack across the way, The Tiffany, which is so hopeless that the bulldozer is the only merciful solution. Being in working-class Glendale keeps the prices low, as opposed to Cap Hill or Wash Park. The apartments themselves are still nicely equipped and work pretty well.

Now for the tour! Please come and tour our fine building. If you visit Building A, be sure to ask them about that elevator. They'll tell you that they're going to renovate it soon. Stop by the exercise room and look at all of the broken equipment. See that stair machine' Broken for months. I suppose it'll be fixed soon as well. It took about six months to repair the exercise bike- and that was broken, mind you, because one of our fine residents melted a hole into the plastic display panel. If you're lucky, you'll spot a bag of trash or two in the stairwell. Don't pick through it! That's not allowed at Foxfire!

Yes, there was a notice about it. Sending out snooty little FYIs is a favorite activity of our staff- I wish I'd saved them all, as they were pretty amusing. The current one, which you'll see if you're quick, is "please put your trash in the dumpster." The warning against dumpster-diving came a few months ago. I know, I know, you're an adult and you know these things, but the management likes to think of their residents as little children, and enjoy treating them accordingly. Residents are a pain, you know. They have annoying needs like fixing leaks and kitchen floors that take away valuable FYI-writing time.

So if you don't plan on staying for too long, Foxfire has at least a few years left in it before it gets run into the ground. This is a tough old building and it's bound to survive the various leaks and cracks and window-smashing idiots who roam around these days. You can share the FYIs with your friends, who might ask you whether you've moved into a college dorm; answer however you please, as there is really no correct answer there. Plus, you'll learn a valuable lesson in "sticking to it," as it only takes three or four requests to get something done. They may raise your rent eventually, but that's the price you pay for having 15 balls on the pool table 80% of the time.

There is a reason why we had to post a reminder notice about taking trash to the dumpsters. It is not because we think badly of anyone! However, there are some people who were leaving their trash all over the property, rather than take it to the dumpsters. We want to do everything we can to keep Foxfire a clean community. I am guessing you would be just as upset if we did not address the issue...?

Very well written! Bravo--they called the police on my neighbor, who did noting but take a photo of the landlord. I am sorry I was ever born. It is a tough ol building, but the building must be maintained~cared for like a child nurtured by Mother. You do not call police on the tenants for trivialities like taking photos....tis the season, right? The Police believe the IQ of Foxfire Management should be reviewed again, 3 is too high.

About the whole picking through a trash bag some lazy person couldnt throw away the right way... What person would sit and pick through someone elses trash bag?? Do you really do that?!?!? Of course thats not allowed anywhere..thats disgusting! The notices they put out..they obviously put those out cause people do that kind of stuff.. not because they think we are kids! Some people act like kids so they have to put that stuff out! How sad that they have to do that!!! Annoying needs of residents?? Come on now.... Get real!! This posting is silly and redicilious! Maybe your the one leaving bags of trash everywhere! The pool table balls were missing once.. they replaced them.. Maybe if the residents wouldnt steal them for fun that wouldnt be an issue! And the broken equipment.. If residents would be jerks and burn it and break it... Again.. this wouldnt be an issue!! Grow up and if your so unhappy.. move!! They work hard to keep this place nice and its the residents who cant follow rules that make it a requirement to send out common sense notices.

I was the one getting my picture taken. When an upset resident comes in with sissors in hand and attempting to take your picture without permission, there is reason for concern. These pictures were taken without permission, by surprise and not under friendly circumstances. If you would have acutally talked to the glendale police, you would know that there are a lot more facts to this then you are aware of. Please do not post false statements and make sure you have all the facts before posting statements about issues that do not pertain to you. -Nicole

Perhaps, you would clue us in as what the rest of the unmidigating circumstances were? Do Tell, Inquiring Minds want to know....and next time I pass the office I will genuflect and cross myself.

How do you know whether or not the Glendale Police took a report of what the Ast. Mgr says happened on 11/20 or not? Seems like you already know all the circumstances so you must have been the one with the scissors trying to take the pictures. Instead of passing by the office and genuflecting and crossing yourself, why don't you just move instead and take all your sarcasm with you as its obvious you don't like the office staff? The place would be safer for everyone else still living there too.

You NEED to learn how to spell. Your photo is now on every dating site in the world. Both work and Cell # provided. So you should say thank you. My sister was also smart enough to take photos of her apartment. There were no clothes, nor boxs of mail. Go take an English class, Please.

Also, if you even try to post pictures, personal information such as phone numbers, or ANY false information of another person aka FF staff members, it is against the law, unless you have their permission WHICH YOU DO NOT, and you know that. Furthermore, they will take legal action against you if you even try to post pictures, or if you continue to harrass them in anyway with your idle threats. How immature are you? Please stop wasting everyones time speaking on issues that you know nothing about, and help your 'sister' in her time of need. Have you noticed how the management responds to every bad review with excuses and smart ass remarks? The management here is AWFUL. I have had nothing but problems with them. Nice apartments, very over priced, but nice. The management however has made living here a horrible experience.
