Foxfire is a mistake!

Like some people on here, I was sucked in by the wonderful amenities and friendly staff. The hot tub and pool were one of the big reasons I chose Foxfire. The first 2 months I was here, the tub was broken. The pool is usually dirty, there are tiles falling off. The hottub is never very full. They have been closed off 4 additional times for maintanence since I moved in. The apartments are incredibly overpriced and somewhat cramped. The back half of the units dont get heat, as the only vents are in the living room and bedroom. There is only 1 window in the unit, and if you have it open, the car lot across the parking lot is very intrusive. Other than that though, the units are very quiet and you rarely hear neighbors.
As far as the staff goes, its a joke. I was told many lies when I moved in, reguarding price, gas costs, discount, etc. I had many concerns about prices and was told blatent lies, that I only discovered after my lease was signed. ----- is a new manager there. She puts up a good front, but when it comes to problems, she does nothing to help tenants. in 6 months, I have seen 4 front desk people there. ----- is always glad to announce exactly why they got fired when comments are made that they arent there anymore. The desk staff are incredibly phony and unhelpful as well. Paying rent with money orders is a problem, they make you provide receipts and are not very nice about it. The maintanance staff is usually good about fixing things promptly, when they are not drinking. Twice the maintenance man has come stinking of beer, and often leaves empty cans of old milwaukee scattered around the stair wells.
Safety is another concern there. While there is ample parking, it is not safe. My car has been keyed from end to end, and a friends car as well. When this was brought to the attention of the management, they did nothing. I didnt even receive a return call from them and had to go in person to talk to them about it, only to find out they really didnt care. Car covers have been stolen, and many other cars have been keyed. Strange people are often trying to get in the side doors and pool area, and building A has a problem with vandalism. Because of this, the rec room has been closed early on occasion. The security system they have set up obviously isnt used.
Moving to the foxfire has been a huge headache. Dont let them suck you in with the promise of a wonderful community. There is no community at foxfire.
One other thing I have noticed, is that the management replies to most of the negative feedback saying the tenant no longer lives there and has obvious issues. Well, I still live there unfortunately, and am very much sane. I am only speaking from experience and trying to save people from making the same mistake I made in trusting the foxfire.

Wait until the Farrow ants and the bed bugs come out in the spring. There was only one wonderful Landlady and Asher Investments fired her. Big Mistake, she was super
and everyone loved her.

Again, Mariann-scova, please move on and leave Foxfire alone! You moved out almost 14 months ago!! Since you have moved out both buildings have had continuing treatment for ants so this has not been an issue. Also, Foxfire can only kill bedbugs after they've been brought in by residents- can't prevent what other people bring in. And when residents wait months to report their bed bug problem, like you did, it takes that much longer to treat the problem. Please get a life, keep taking your meds, and focus on something else for a change!!!!
