We've lived here for 4 1/2 years, although it was a dump when we moved here the 10 min. commute to work made it acceptable. It's been 3 years since the building was sold to the current owner and the major renovations were not only needed but beautiful. The first was the new windows for the building that cut down our A/C bill and the street noise. The ceramic tile in the halls instead of the nasty old carpet looks great. Thank God all the noisy and unsavory tenants were thrown out because the new owner doesn't put up with partying and drugs. It's so quiet I can hear myself think. It's a safe place to live and getting better all the time. We actually enjoy having our friends over and they rave about the improvements as well. We're sad to leave Garfield Park but my husband and I finally bought our first house! I would certainly recomend this building to others.
