My husband and I have lived in alot of apartments. And these aren't the worst. There is no sound proofing between apartments, so ya, you'll hear alot of stuff. But Maintence speaks english, and get the job done in 24 hours. Aimee was our lease consultant and she was really nice, always asking how things are. But she left I think, which is a pity.
Ya, I had bad neighbors that screamed, yelled, slammed things, made the building shake while slamming doors and even had a barking dog that wouldn't stop. Received a threatening letter, and the cops were the rude and crude about the situation. There is crime, the off duty officer patrols on occasion. Its not often. My windows were egged, my friend parked across the lot and the entire lot was severely keyed, someone had their tires stolen before winter.
We live next to the train tracks, though its rare to hear the train.
Good things are there are two dog runs, and lots of space on the north and south side. Park across the street too. It would be better if people kept their pets on a leash and cleaned up after them.
We're looking at other apartments, and its about the same as these. I've yet to find a better place in the area thats reasonably affordable.
